Atomic and Molecular Spectral Lasers by Raj Kumar - PDF Download For decades, spectral lasers have been used in different fields of research. With the advancement of technology, this has significantly increased its applicability. In the last few years, a profound transformation has taken place in atomic and molecular laser spectroscopy. The objective of our paper is to present the newly emerging applications of spectral laser techniques that are exciting prospects for future research endeavors with atomic or molecular systems. This is achieved through discussions on two emerging area for work: (1) Atomic and Molecular Spectral Laser Techniques for Nonlinear Dynamics; (2) Atomic-Molecular Synchrotron Radiation (SAMRS). We will start by discussing the characteristics of nonlinear dynamics in all three laser classifications. Next, we introduce the semiconductor lasers and discuss various aspects of these spectroscopies. We review the applications in chemistry and biology, focusing on the research groups in these areas. Finally, we describe another technique, Atomic-Molecular Synchrotron Radiation (SAMRS), which has emerged in the last few years as a unique way to probe chemical bond breaking events at low temperatures. This new technique exploits laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) to study hot gases at metallurgical conditions that are important for industrial applications.
